Is SASSA Money Available today?

The SASSA payment cycle normally start on the  28th  for beneficiaries using ATM’s and stores. Cash payments at community halls starts on the 3rd of every month in line with schedules communicated to beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries urged to heed the call, Get new SASSA Gold Card!!!

The South African Social Security Agency in Mpumalanga has noted with concern that some beneficiaries are yet to come forward to get their new SASSA gold card even though they have been requested to do so several times.
SASSA was then forced to auto migrate beneficiaries to the new card as the deadline has long passed. All beneficiaries who are still holding on to the white SASSA card as of January will no longer be able to get their social grants until they come to SASSA or SAPO offices to get their new cards.

The new SASSA gold card comes with benefits which includes: accessing money at any time in merchants, Post Office, ATM’s using a pin, unlimited PIN resets at SASSA Local Offices, one Pin reset at SAPO outlet per annum and one funeral deduction which is not more than 10% of the grant (not applicable to Child Support Grant).
SASSA will continue to pay social grants at certain identified pay points that are far from merchants and banks on the normal payment circle which is the 1st until the 20th of every month.
Beneficiaries must bring along their old SASSA card and green barcoded ID Book or smart card ID to be issued with new SASSA card. The card swap will only need the person who actually collects the grant and his/her procurator if there is one.
